For AW17 Afield introduce ‘Alphaus’, a contemporary menswear collection where the charm of the Alps meets emblematic Bauhaus design. Prints have adopted a stylised ski-motif, inspired by the classic ski posters and illustrations of the 1920s-30s.

The collection has in mind the aspirational après ski mood, with a nod to Jean-Claude Killy: an era where style was often more important than speed. Whether you are on the slopes or, more likely, in the City slaloms, Afield’s new collection embodies the spirit of Alpine lifestyle; comfort, and effortlessly stylish.

Fully lined outerwear and heavy knitwear meet waxed cottons, thick flannels and wools. In shirting, while Afield’s characteristic prints have not been ignored, the accent is on heavier, warmer materials, and an eye on seasonal multi-layering.
