Filling Pieces SS17 – ‘LET US CREATE’
The Filling Pieces Spring/Summer 2017 collection is named ‘LET US CREATE’, in reference to the new found creative freedom afforded by producing custom-made sole units. With the ability to produce FP soles, the brand now controls all aspects of shoe design, from the foundations to the peak.
The SS17 collection continues the theme of innovation that is key to Filling Pieces’ design ethos. Producing 600 new styles containing 14 new silhouettes and 5 new custom Filling Pieces sole innovations. A large number of new styles and silhouettes that are a direct result of the creations of the FP soles by the design team. For the first time since Guillaume Philibert founded Filling Pieces, working with generic rubber cup-soles, FP are now in the position to step away from the industry standard and solely use our own soles unit.
The complete collection will be released in three large drops, the first recently launched at select FP retailers.
Filling Pieces shot the SS17 campaign in Madagascar, an island known for 90% of its wildlife being found nowhere else on earth. For a brand like Filling Pieces which draws so much inspiration from nature and cultures, it was the ideal backdrop for their most creative and diverse collection to date. Shot by Amsterdam based photographer Lotte van Raalte and featuring upcoming models Leo Hoyte Egan and Flora Carter from London.
